dc.description.abstract	From 26th to 27th February 2016, Riara University took part in the just concluded InterVarsity Law Schools Debate Challenge hosted at Strathmore University. Riara University students were taking part for the first time and put up a spirited fight to win the championship and outdid sixteen universities that participated in the debate competition. The university’s final ranking was as follows: 1. Riara Law school 2. MKU Law School 3. Nairobi Law school 4. Strathmore Law School In addition, Riara University also won the Best Debater and the Second Best Debater. Riara University, being the Best Team was awarded a sum of Ksh. 20,000 and Ksh. 5000 worth of airtime with five gift vouchers to KFC while the Best Debater received a Lenovo Smartphone and a power bank.	en_US
